Kogane is an information and research tool. Nothing on this site is a recommendation, solicitation or offer to buy or sell any security, and nothing here takes account of your objectives, financial situation or needs. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions.

Data

Fundamental, ownership, large-shareholding and AGM data are derived from public filings on EDINET (Financial Services Agency of Japan) and the JPX listed-company list. Prices are end-of-day, delayed and indicative. Figures are extracted automatically and may contain errors, omissions or classification mistakes (for example, whether a shareholder is an "activist" is our own interpretation of public filings). Always verify against the original filings before relying on them. Data is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

Acceptable use

Accounts are personal. Don't share credentials, scrape or bulk-redistribute the dataset, or attempt to disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Your data & privacy

We store your email, name, a salted password hash, your saved screens and watchlist. If you sign in with Google, we receive only your Google account's email address, name and account ID, use them solely to sign you in, and never access anything else in your Google account. To operate and improve the service we also record how the product is used while you're signed in: sign-ins, which company pages you open, preset screens and filter fields you use, search terms, and exports. This usage record is linked to your account and visible to the site administrators. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. Deleting your account from the Account page deletes your profile, saved screens and watchlist; usage records are then kept only in anonymised form.
